RAJOURI, Oct 25: The police today arrested a man along with consignment of poppy straw (Bhukki) in Manjakote area of Rajouri district.
Police said a team headed by SHO Manjakote, Barket Qureshi under the supervision of SDPO Manjakote, Dr Imtiaz Ahmed during routine checking of vehicles signaled a Tempo Traveler No. JK12-2138 frisking but driver of the vehicle tried to resist the checking . During checking one kilogram poppy straw was recovered.
The driver Yaser Arafat, son of Abdul Qadoos, resident of Rajdhani in Manjakote was arrested on the spot and a case FIR No. 102/2018 under section 8/20/21 NDPS Act has been registered and further investigation is going on.
