DODA, Feb 13: A drug peddler along with 3 kg of Poppy straw was nabbed today by Doda police.
“During routine naka checking at Phagsoo Morh (Thathri), a team of police station Thathri led by PSI Amandeep Singh apprehended a person namely Mohd Iqbal son of Mohd Din, resident of Nagari (Doda) and recovered 3 kg Narcotic substance (Poppy straw) from his possession, which he was carrying in a for selling purpose in general areas of Thathri,” a police spokesman said.
He said the accused was arrested on the spot and the contraband seized while a case FIR Number 22/2022 under Section 8/15 of NDPS Act was registered at police station Thathri and further investigation started.
The arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of Inspector Amrit Katoch (SHO police station Thathri) and Meer Gafoor SDPO Bhaderwah and overall supervision of SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom.
