UDHAMPUR, Apr 23: The police arrested a villager and recovered 5 liters of illicit liquor from his possession near Tikri today.
SSP Udhampur, Rajiv Pandey said that a police party of Police Post Tikri led by Insp Virender Gupta, SHO Police Station Rehambal, assisted by SI Jaswinder Choudhary IC PP Tikri caught one suspected person at Nadi Talab, Sundrani, Tikri for checking.
The said person was taken into custody and 5 ltr of illicit liquor was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Ankush Bandral, son of Raj Singh of Sundrani. He was arrested on the spot and recovered liquor was also seized.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 61/2020 U/S 188/270 IPC, 48(a) Excise Act has been registered in Police Station, Rehambal. Further investigation was in progress.
