Excelsior CorrespondentJAMMU, Nov 20: The police arrested one person and recovered 230 gms opium from his possession at Lakhanpur while two persons were held for gambling at Bari Brahmana today.
A police spokesman said a bus driver Deep Kumar, son of Mohinder Lal of Barnai, Jammu was arrested at Lakhanpur and 230 gms of opium was recovered from his possession. He claimed that drugs had been kept by him for personal use. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, Bari Brahmana police nabbed two youth while gambling and recovered Rs 2200 as stake money from their possession. They have been identified as Nikhil Kumar and Kamal Kishore of Palli village on Bishnah road.
