DODA, Mar 17: A drunkard man here today was sentenced to community service for creating public nuisance under the influence of liquor.
“The sentence was announced by a Special Magistrate under the provisions of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS),” Police sources informed.
The accused was identified as Pankesh Manhas, son of Devan Chand, resident of Humbal, Doda.
“He was presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate in Doda on Monday and the accused was directed to perform community service at the nearest hospital for one hour daily for 10 days under Section 355 of the BNS,” Police sources said.
