REASI, Aug 26: Continuing his efforts to bring improvement and further streamlining the education system in district, District Development Commissioner, Reasi, Ravinder Kumar today paid surprise visit to various Government schools of the district.
During the visit, the DDC accompanied by Chief Education Officer, Reasi Vinod Kumar inspected Govt. Middle School Vijapur and Government Primary School Naya Bagh. During the inspection of Government Primary School Naya Bagh, he found that one teacher was absent and placed him under suspension. He also directed the concerned authority not to draw the salary of lady teacher, who was found not competent to teach well, till improvement in learning level is brought of children. He checked learning level of children and found that basic level is not up to mark.
Taking stock of the infrastructure and other facilities available to students like water, electricity and reading material, the DDC directed teachers to remain punctual and not to leave the station without proper permission. He asked them to maintain all records properly and work with dedication for imparting quality education to the students.
Directing Tehsildar Reasi for taking steps to remove encroachment near school, the DDC asked the SDMs and Tehsildars for conducting frequent visits of educational institutions in their respective jurisdictions and submit reports in this regard. He said that it would go a long way in maintaining punctuality and efficiency of educational institutions.
