DODA, Mar 15: Police today seized a vehicle and arrested its driver for illegal mining.
“A team police post Pul-Doda headed by PSI Anil Kumar Incharge police post Pul-Doda during routine checking/frisking stopped one tipper bearing registration number JK06B-2291 at Pul-Doda for checking,” a police official said.
He said on checking, the tipper was found loaded with sand. “In this connection, a case FIR number 40/2022 U/S 188/IPC was registered at police station Doda against the tipper driver namely Chander Kumar son of Gian Chand Bhagat of Khellani and he was arrested while the vehicle was also seized.
Further investigation into the case was started.
