UDHAMPUR, June 12: Driver of a tipper was washed away due to flash flood in Birmah nallah, Udhampur, late last evening.
The deceased, identified as Suraj Parkash (25) son of Sandokhu of Rathain Udhampur, was sitting inside the tipper bearing registration number JK14B -2125, when flash flood occurred in Birmah nallah due to heavy rainfall last evening.
Flash flood washed away the tipper along with its driver to several meters. After getting the information, Police party rushed to the spot and started rescue operation but could not locate the driver whose body was not recovered till last reports came in.
