JAMMU, Sept 12: Excise Magistrate Jammu, Mehmood Ahmed Choudhary awarded one year imprisonment to tractor driver Sham Lal, who was facing trial in accident case during the past 12 years.
According to police case, on March 24, 2001, two persons namely Anil Kumar and Krishan Singh were knocked down by a tractor which was being driven rashly by Sham Lal.
After hearing both the sides, Excise Magistrate observed, “the prosecution has proved its case and accused is awarded one year imprisonment and fine of Rs 1500”.
