ONGC distributes appliances among handicapped

JAMMU, Mar 13: Oil and Natural Gas Commission (ONGC), New Delhi, under its CSR scheme, organized a two-day camp at Jammu to provide relief to the handicapped persons of Jammu region.
About 170 differently abled persons were provided aids and appliances during the camp which was organized in collaboration with Delhi branch of Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Viklang Chhatra Trust and JRC Home for Handicapped, Udheywala.
Mohd Latif Pandit, In-charge State unit of BMVSS, disclosed that 60 tricycles, 36 wheel chairs and 33 pairs of auxiliary crutches were distributed free of cost amongst the handicapped persons of the Jammu Region.
Besides 32 fitments of calipers to polio victims and nine artificial limbs were fitted to the amputees.
