ONGC offers training, employment to youth

SRINAGAR, Dec 3: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), a public enterprise visited University of Kashmir to offer training and employment opportunities for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
The team from ONGC was headed by Om P Suyan, General Manager Human Resource Development.
The company intends to train engineers from Electrical, Electronics and Communication, Computer Science and IT background for a period of ninety days and based on their performance trained engineers would be considered for placements.
The Company has shortlisted more than 23 candidates from different branches of Engineering for the training program.
Prof. Shabir A Bhat, Director Centre for Career Planning and Counseling (CCPC) University of Kashmir said that employability has emerged as a major area of concern in the State and CCPC is working tirelessly to help the students in upgrading their skill sets and making them aware about the opportunities available.
It is in place to mention that ONGC has visited the CCPC for the third consecutive time during the current year and shortlisted more than 60 engineering graduates for training and placements.
