Ongoing Test Series between India vs Oz is great due to Kohli: Warne

MELBOURNE: Former Australian bowling great Shane Warne said, the ongoing Test series between India and Australia is great due to Virat Kohli.

Warne is the second highest wicket-taker in Tests scalping 708 wickets from 145 matches, while Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka stands at no one spot taking 800 wickets in 133 matches and at third is India’s Anil Kumble with 619 wickets from 132 matches.

Warne in a video shared by Brett Lee on Facebook, said that the ongoing Test series between both the countries Down Under is great because of Virat Kohli. “This year, the Test series is great. It’s because the series is locked at 1-1. It’s great because of this guy… Virat Kohli. He is the greatest cricketer on the planet,” Warne said.

The third Test begins at Melbourne from Wednesday while last and the final will be played in Sydney, starting from January 3. The four-match Test series is currently tied at 1-1, India won the Adelaide Test by 31 runs and Australia defeated India by 146 runs in the second at Perth. (AGENCIES)
