Now tomatoes have pursued the same path as the onions. The classical methods of hoarding, creating artificial scarcity , dictating the market retail prices by the very influential middlemen, brokers, etc; have done onions to the tomatoes which are selling now at Rs. 80 a kilo.
This is in quite contrast about the maximum wholesale price notified vide media, electronic and print.
Where is the administration and the price monitoring mechanism in our state?
The priorities of the state leadership are only centered around accession, dialogue process with Pakistan and mud slinging on each others parties. The common citizen is feeling the increasing unbearable pinch of the exorbitant prices of the essential commodities in the market.
