Online defrauded Rs 6.04 lakh recovered

KISHTWAR, Sept 5: Police here today solved online fraud cases and recovered defrauded Rs. 6,04,850.
In this recent breakthrough, the Cybercrime Investigation Unit resolved multiple online fraud cases, recovering a total amount of Rs. 6,04,850.
The scams included mobile recharge frauds, unauthorized third-party app installations and malicious Telegram links promoting fake Aadhaar Card updates, as well as fraudulent trading apps like Aviator, Happybet, 11winner and Skywinner.
District Police Kishtwar has urged the public to remain vigilant against online frauds and avoid suspicious links, unauthorized app installations and sharing personal details online.
A handout stated that one may report any suspicious activities to National Cybercrime Helpline at 1930, the Cybercrime Investigation Unit Kishtwar at 9103416100 or PCR Kishtwar at 9906154100/ 9103454100.
Complaints can also be filed online at www.cybercrime. gov.in for issues related to lost or stolen mobile phones.
