KISHTWAR, May 26: Police here today busted a major online narcotics smuggling network and summoned four persons for questioning at Police Station Kishtwar.
SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal while sharing detail said information was received from some reliable sources regarding some persons ordering illegal drugs through online courier services form Zee Lab Pharmacy located at Karnal, Haryana.
On this a case in FIR with number 116/2023 Under Section 8/21/22/29 of NDPS was registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation taken up.
Thereafter search warrant was issued by CJM Court Kishtwar for conducting search of the courier shop.
During search cops recovered two boxes each containing four strips (in total 80 tablets) of banned drug.
Preliminary enquiry of owner of the courier service revealed about persons who ordered the courier online.
On receiving this information a special team was constituted by SSP Kishtwar and it summoned four suspects whose involvement seems likely in the crime.
