Online fraudster held from Ajmer for cheating Doda Teacher

DODA, Dec 5: Police here today arrested an online fraudster from Ajmer, Rajasthan for cheating a Government Teacher of Kastigarh Doda who was duped of Rs. 11,67,220.
In handout Doda Police stated that they have arrested the online fraudster from Ajmer who was wanted in a case of FIR number 237/2023 registered at Police Station Doda for online cheating a Teacher.
As per the case on October 29, 2023, one Showket Ali, a Government teacher, resident of Bibrota, Tehsil Kastigarh lodged a written complaint at Police Station Doda mentioning therein that he came in contact with one Shahrukh Noor Mohd, son of Noor Mohd, resident of Jhunjhun, Rajasthan through Facebook who cheated him and looted online an amount of Rs 11,67,220 from him.
In this connection a case in FIR number 237/2023 under relevant sections was registered at Police Station Doda after which Police activated sources to apprehend the fraudster and a Police party led by SI Mohd Shafi under the supervision of Jaswant Singh, Dy.SP Hqrs Doda was deputed to Ajmer and the Police party arrested the fraudster from Ajmer.
Further investigation of the case was going on.
Police has appealed to the general public to be aware of fraudsters, online cheaters and don’t respond to unknown callers and don’t share details and OTP to unknown persons if they came in contact of any unknown caller etc.
