*8 artists from J&K participated

JAMMU, Sept 25: Eight artists from Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu were among the participants in the Indian segment of artists in an Online International Art Exhibition titled ‘Love Revolution: For the Love of Art’.
The event was organized by Art Novelty Gallery, Aizawl (Mizoram), in collaboration with ICCR Regional Centre Shillong and co-sponsored by Ck Cars, Aizawl. The exhibition was inaugurated by Robert Romawia Royte, Minister of State, Mizoram on 21st September and it concluded on 24th September.
Two hundred forty-five artists from 37 countries with 83 foreign artists and 162 Indian artists participated in the global show. In this exhibition, eminent artists from India– Vijender Sharma, Siddhartha Ghosh, Yolanda de Sousa, Sangeeta Singh, Yoo Cheung Yeul from Republic of Korea, as well as renowned Mizo artists Lalbiaklara, Lalbuta and Rosiamliana Ralte were invited as VIPs.
The exhibition was curated by Lalhming Mawii (Amoii), owner of Art Novelty Gallery. Michael Lam, top Art consultant from New York, a VIP guest helped Amoii in curating the show. The exhibition was put on display on digital platform and it can be viewed online on Art Novelty Gallery’s Instagram, YouTube and Art Novelty Gallery Institute of Art & Craft on Facebook pages. The participants were entitled for free entry, e-certicates and e- catalogue in the crucial stage of pandemic.
The curator Amoii mentioned that the success of the online art exhibition could not be achieved without the cooperation of the artists, her team of technical experts who diligently worked through these compromising times. It may be mentioned here that Lalhming Mawii (Amoii) is an Art Consultant of JKCCA.
According to O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA eight artists of JKCCA whose works were displayed in this Online International Art Exhibition include Gaytri (Hoshiarpur, Punjab), Archana Choudhary (Madhubani, Bihar), Pratima Singh (Lucknow, UP), Swati Jain (Bhopal, MP), Dr Alka Chadha Harpalani (Bangalore, Karnataka), O P Sharma and Jang S Verman (Jammu, J&K).
