JAMMU, Feb 8: Government Degree College (GDC) Bishnah organized a national online workshop on Language of Cinema.
The workshop was inaugurated on February 1 with an introduction by Dr Randheer Kour, Assistant Professor of Punjabi Department of the College.
This was followed by welcome address by Dr Anuradha Pandoh, Principal of the College.
The keynote address was delivered by Rashid Ali, Assistant Professor, Department of Mass Communication and New Media, Central University of Jammu.
Guest speaker in the programme was Talat Parvez Rohilla, Commissioner Secretary Higher Education Department.
Out of 210 participants who registered in the workshop only 35 successfully completed the course.
Resource person in the workshop was B.A Samvartha, alumni of JNU and FTII teacher of Screenplay Writing.
Prof Lalit Gupta (retired) delivered the valedictory speech and suggested the participants to make a film club to initiate some work on ethnographic cinema.
Among the participants in the workshop were students and researchers from JMI, JNU, IGNOU, JU etc.
