Srinagar, Nov 12: Only 34 percent of students out of over 50,000 qualified the Class 10 Bi-Annual Exam-2024, conducted by the J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE).
According to details issued by the authorities, a total of 50,935 students appeared in the examination, of which only 17,669 students passed, leaving 33,226 students who did not qualify.
As per JKBOSE, the overall pass percentage for the Class 10 Bi-Annual Exam-2024 is 34.69 percent.
According to the grading, only 5 students secured an A1 grade, 41 students secured an A2, 220 students secured a B1, 1,759 students secured a B2, 8,844 students received a C1, 6,570 students received a C2, and 202 students received a D.
The A1 grade is awarded to students with marks in the 90-100 range, A2 for 80-89, B1 for 70-79, B2 for 60-69, C1 for 50-59, C2 for 40-49, and D for 33-39.
In subject-wise results, the highest pass percentage of 56 percent was recorded in Urdu, with 1,782 students appearing. The lowest pass percentage was in English, at 34 percent out of a total of 38,728 students.
Mathematics recorded a pass percentage of 39.60 percent out of 32,745 students. Half of the 1,673 students passed the Hindi paper, while 46 percent of over 30,000 students passed Science, and 45 percent passed Social Science out of over 22,000 students who appeared.
