Only Azad can bring back J&K on rails: RS Chib

KATHUA, Mar 2: Former minister and senior DPAP leader, R S Chib today said that only Ghulam Nabi Azad can bring back Jammu and Kashmir on rails.
In a well attended meeting of Democratic Progressive Azad Party workers and senior party leaders held at Hiranagar in district Kathua today, enthusiasm in common public was visible. DPAP leaders lauded the role of the party chairman GN Azad for voicing the genuine concerns of the people of J&K at every forum.
“We are of the firm belief and so are the people of J&K that only politician of Azad Sahib’s stature can pull the people of J&K out of the present mess. His secular persona has acceptance across the country and people of J&K have witnessed the honest model of administration during his tenure of Chief Ministership,” Chib said .
Provincial president DPAP, Jammu Jugal Kishore highlighted the concerns of Azad for taking steps for the welfare of border areas and those who migrated in 1947,1965 & 1971. Jugal also said that it was Ghulam Nabi Azad as leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha who took stand against the decision of the Govt of India for downgrading our state to the status of Union Territory.
The workers meeting was organised by Subhash Gupta, Ex-MLC and general secretary Jammu province.
While addressing the gathering Gupta lauded the role of Azad and termed his tenure as CM golden period. “It was during his regime when J&K witnessed huge development. Work culture was appreciated one and all,” Azad said.
Other senior leaders who spoke on this occasion included Vinod Mishra, state general secretary, Gharu Ram, Zonal president, Advocate Maheshwar Singh general secretary Jammu province, Vishal Chopra , general secretary(Media) ,Jammu, Devinder Singh Bindoo and Brijeshwar Singh Indoo, District president Kathua and youth leader Gagandeep.
The meeting was attended by large number of Sarpanchs and Panchs too. It was unanimously resolved to prepare for the forthcoming elections.
