Only Cong can provide succour to people of Punjab: Mula Ram

JAMMU, Apr 23: Mula Ram, senior Congress leader and former Minister along with Hari Singh president District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Rural have urged the people to vote for Congress in the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat as only the Congress can provide succour to them.
They stated this while campaigning for Congress candidate Karamjit Kour Choudhary for Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat who was accompanying them during a series of meetings at Udham Singh Nagar, Jalandhar today seeking votes for the Congress candidates.
While addressing various meetings, Mula Ram accused the Punjab Government and BJP Government at the Centre of having failed to provide any succour to the common people who are bearing the brunt of skyrocketing prices of essential commodities including fuel prices. Moreover, the people feel crushed under the spine breaking inflation. He held the hollow policies of the BJP led Government at the Centre responsible for economic slowdown, unemployment and unbridled inflation.
Mula Ram said the woes and miseries of the common man today are attributed to the wrong policies of the BJP Government at the Centre. Petrol and diesel prices are at all-time high having made history; LPG prices have doubled as compared to their prices before 2014 while the prices of vegetables, fruits, edible oils, pulses, eggs and other essentials are out of reach of the common man, he lamented.
Hari Singh Chib, DCC Jammu Rural chief appealed to the people to cast their vote in favour of Congress to ensure her victory. He said that Congress is the oldest political party and shall continue its fight against ‘divisive and exploitive’ forces, which are hell bent to destroy communal harmony. Chib urged the people to teach a lesson to the present Government of Punjab and BJP Government at the Centre. He also asked the party activists to reach out to every voter and explain the programmes and policies of the Congress Party.
