JAMMU, Mar 30: JKPCC working president and contesting candidate from Jammu Parliamentary seat Raman Bhalla today said that only Congress Party can fulfill the grievances and demands of OBC community.
He was speaking in a meeting of OBC Cell of JKPCC held today at party headquarters in Jammu under the guidance and leadership of Gurinder Pal Singh Billa (National coordinator, OBC). During the meeting, Bhalla explained in detail the difficulties and problems being faced by OBC communities. He said that OBCs are deliberately ignored and exploited in all the fields under BJP rule.
Prominent among those present on the occasion include Madan Lal Chalotra (OBC chairman J&K), newly appointed working chairman Sandeep Dogra, Aditya Dogra, Darshan Mehra, Romesh Verma, Shamher, Sanjeev Kumar, Shalu Verma, Rashpal Verma, Dharmpal Dogra, Vikram Dogra and many others.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhalla appealed all voters of OBC communities to vote and support Congress Party candidates in the elections to achieve the desired goal. He further reiterated the Congress party’s belief in the unity of all people, regardless of their religious or regional identities. He appealed to the public to support the Congress party, highlighting that the BJP, in contrast, has proven to be anti-OBC and not a well-wisher of the community.
Bhalla recalled the initiatives taken by the successive Congress Governments in ameliorating the lot of weaker sections, especially the OBC segment of the society. He said during Congress regime in the erstwhile state of J&K, the OBC Development Board was constituted with the Chief Minister being the Chairman. He asserted that the OBC community was granted 4 percent reservation to pave the way for the equitable welfare of these people.
The JKPCC working president said that BJP is running away from the much delayed Assembly elections in UT for fear of backlash and defeat. He said the people will teach BJP a lesson in all forthcoming elections in J&K.
