“A Congress or Independent candidate sent to Parliament from Ladakh wouldn’t adequately serve the region, given the NDA’s expected landslide victory, crossing the 400 mark this General Election, with BJP alone poised to surpass 370,” stated the Union Minister.
Rijiju conveyed his comprehensive understanding of Ladakh’s issues, derived from diligent research and consultations with relevant stakeholders.
Drawing parallels between the recently created Union Territory of Ladakh with a newly constructed home, the Union Minister said that a blueprint to address all the genuine issues of the people of Ladakh has been prepared by the BJP Government “but it will take us some time to put things in an order gradually like a newly constructed independent home is furnished with all the necessities over a period of time only.”
Acknowledging Ladakh’s multifaceted demands, spanning constitutional safeguards, cultural preservation, land rights, and employment opportunities, Rijiju affirmed the BJP’s singular capability to address these challenges comprehensively.
He cited the party’s unwavering commitment to advancing Ladakh’s development agenda, exemplified by initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure, power supply, healthcare, and education by the Narendra Modi Government.
However, Rijiju cautioned against the potential ramifications of electing a non-BJP representative, warning of the detrimental impact on ongoing efforts to address Ladakh’s socio-economic challenges.
He reiterated the BJP’s pledge to safeguard Ladakh’s ecological integrity and rich cultural heritage, vowing to prioritize the concerns raised by diverse stakeholders.
Furthermore, Rijiju stressed the paramount importance of party unity, underscoring consultations with former MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal and the selection of Tashi Gyalson, the incumbent Chief Executive Councillor, as the MP candidate based on his grassroots experience and rapport with the local populace.
Rijiju reaffirmed the BJP’s unwavering commitment to listening to and acting upon the aspirations of the people of Ladakh, positioning the party as the sole entity capable of translating Ladakh’s promises and potential into tangible realities.
He urged voters to cast their votes in favor of the BJP, ensuring a continued trajectory of progress and development for the region under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
