MENDHAR, Apr 13: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Pir Panjal zonal president, Javed Ahmed Rana has asserted that only National Conference can fulfil the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir with its vision of a vibrant, progressive and united J&K.
This was stated by Javed Rana while addressing members of several deputations who met him here today.
While interacting with the senior National Conference leader, the deputation members lauded his efforts for addressing people’s issues on priority basis and standing with them in thick and thin. They specially thanked him for commencement of classes at the Eklavya Model Residential School in Mendhar which is Rs 20 crore project.
It is pertinent to mention here that in 2017, the Central Govt had sanctioned only two such schools one for Jammu and another for Kashmir and it was due to the hectic efforts of Javed Rana that Eklavya Model Residential School was got sanctioned for Mendhar. Immediately thereafter in 2018 the requisite funds were released for this significant project.
Expressing gratitude to Javed Rana for commencement of classes, the deputation members said that this has been possible only due to his relentless efforts and strong determination to serve the people of his constituency.
In his address, Javed Rana asserted that National Conference is the only secular party in Jammu and Kashmir and a panacea to all the issues confronting the people of this sensitive Union Territory. He recalled that it was the outline of a plan of National Conference to convert the erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir state from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional democracy. He said that this very plan was subsequently adopted by the National Conference as its manifesto and popularly known as The ‘Naya Kashmir’.
Rana said that the people are today facing immense problems in the absence of a representative Govt and appealed to the people to gear up for the coming Assembly elections in the UT. He asked them to vote for NC to bring an end to the miseries brought to them by the BJP.
