RAJOURI, Feb 6: Only a ‘Safai Karamchari’ was found manning the affairs of Primary Health Centre, Samote in Budhal when Ist Class Magistrate visited there on the directions of the SDM Kotranka on Friday.
An action under law has been recommended by the Naib Tehsildar (Ist Class Magistrate) Khursheed Tantray against seven staff members including Medical Officer of the Health Centre, who were found absent during the visit. After receiving several complaints that Samote PHC remains locked quite often and the staff hardly visits there, causing lot of inconvenience to the public, the SDM asked Naib Tehsilar Samote to pay surprise visit there and send report.
Mr Tantray spoke to the SDM and also brought the matter to the notice of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri after visiting the PHC. He recommended action against the absentee staff but the action is still awaited.
