Open Letter to Farooq Abdullah

Sir,
Please accept my congratulations to you and your party for grand success in the election. I also complement the people of Jammu & Kashmir of their judicious voting for the democracy.
As a non-political common person from Kashmiri Pundit community, with media background, I take this opportunity to personally address to you a very important message, which will have a far reaching consequences on Jammu & Kashmir, vis-a-vis the Indian politics.
Mr. Abdullah, much water has flown down under the seven bridges of Srinagar, since the mass exodus of Kashmiri Pundits took place in late eighties and early nineties. There is no sense in playing blame game now. Let’s look forward to set things in its right perspective.
People’s mandate in this election has rejected all old dogmas and is ready to work in peace and harmony for the overall good of the state and the people. Jumhuriat has taken the centre stage. Insaniat and Kashmiriat have to follow to give justice to those, who badly need it now.
God has given you and your party a very clear mandate to pursue these ideals in the land of Saints and Sufis. By resettling Kashmiri Pundit community in Kashmir, with dignity, honor and safety you will have respectable place in the history of the state as 15th, century Kashmir ruler Bud Shah (Zainul Abidin) earned by his good deeds.
