Open Schools Coordinators discuss students’ issues

JAMMU, July 1: A general body meeting of Coordinators of National Institute of Open Schooling, Government of India, Ministry of HRD, was held here today for discussing various issues and problems, being faced by the students.
The meeting, chaired by Kuldeep Sharma, chairman of the Co-ordinators Forum Northern Zone, took a serious note of the complaints regarding admission of NIOS students in Government colleges in Jammu city, which were not entertaining their certificates.
Alleging a nexus between some private colleges and the staff in Government institutions, the Forum appealed the Chief Minister to issue necessary direction to the Higher Education authorities in this regard and also take a strict action against such colleges, which were harassing the students.
The meeting was attended by Vinay Katal, Vikramjeet Bakshi, Vijay Kumar, Bushan Gupta, Rakesh Sharma and others.
