KISHTWAR, Apr 28: Residents of Mailan area here today staged a protest demonstration at Shalimar area demanding the shifting of newly opened liquor shop from the area.
The protesters alleged that a wine shop has been opened recently on Mailan road after which it has become difficult for them to move in the area especially the ladies are feeling unsafe.
They were raising slogans against the authorities responsible for allowing liquor shop in the area.
The protesters were pacified after the SHO Kishtwar reached the spot and assured them of taking the issue with higher authorities.
