Opening of new wine shops

Sir,
This has reference to the news item regarding opening of new wine shops.
In this connection it is submitted that the Excise Department should actually conduct survey of the areas where new wine shops have been opened to find out  how conditions have gone from bad to worse on social, economic and moral grounds giving rise to crime rate in these areas which were otherwise peaceful before the opening of these shops.
The idea to open new wine shops in villages and MC Wards will spoil our future generations. What is the justification to open new wine shops and bars when entire Jammu region is already flooded with them. Regarding creation of additional revenue for the State, it is submitted that if a little expenditure on Government officials is curtailed, it will give twice the revenue than these society spoiling centres. The audit of Benami ownership of  licenses is justified but  if more areas are covered under wine shops it will attract direct confrontation from women and civilised society. The States like Bihar and many more have got a healthy financial set-up without sale of liquor. The Govt will play with fire, if new wine shops are opened. The previous State Govts have done much harm to civilised society  of Jammu by opening new wine shops. Moreover, to overcome illegal production of liquor, Excise Department has enough staff to check the same.
Yours etc…
