JAMMU, Jan 2: While conducting grievance redressal at BJP Headquarters, here, today, Ranbir Singh Pathania, former MLA and J&K BJP spokesperson, called for a missionary approach IN dealing with day-to-day issues of the people.
Pathania, accompanied by Shailja Gupta, J&K BJP Working Committee Member while listening to the public grievances said unlimited funds and developmental initiatives have been unleashed by Bharat Sarkar under dynamic leadership of PM Modi. “We need to ensure that people and rather ‘last man in last row’ gets best out of these schemes/initiatives,. We need to be prepared and brace enough to transcend and cash in on gains of decision of 5 August, 2019’’.
Pathania sought formulation of online portal for receipt of applications after constitution of Udhampur Development Authority. He said that with the advent of J&K State Reorganization Act 2019, notified Udhampur Development Authority vide SRO 318 dated:-03 -07 -2013 stood automatically dissolved. While vide SRO 439 dated 14-12-2021 another notification for land use was notified but the people of the area were facing difficulties in the cases of land use falling in the notified area under jurisdiction of approved master plan as they could not be processed.
This issue was vociferously projected by Pathania with various top brass as well as Lt Governor. Ultimately, vide Government Order dated 27/10/2022, the authority has been constituted. But non formulation of online portal for the same is causing inconveniences to the public. Pathania called for immediate remedial measures so that local people are able to heave a sigh of relief. As precision, swiftness and simplicity is the hallmark of a responsive set up.
Pathania was also vocal about finalization of master Plan for Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority.
Whereas building permissions as well as land use applications in area under control of SMDA are languishing for non-finalization of the same. He called for immediate putting in place a mechanism for grant of approval/permission for construction/reconstruction/alteration of residential /commercial buildings in areas falling within the notified jurisdiction of SMDA.
Amongst other general issues pertaining to drinking water, building permissions, staff shortage, proper voltage electricity, NABARD roads were projected by a number of deputations who called on in the BJP office with references and telephone calls to concerned officials.
Shailja Gupta coordinated the proceedings where deputations including individual persons canvassed various issues related to the development of their respective areas and their other concerns.
