Oppn befooling public by false slogans: Shabir

RAJOURI,  Dec 2:  Former Minister and MLA Rajouri Shabir Khan has alleged that Opposition party leaders were making hollow slogans and false promises just to befool the people.
Addressing large gathering here today, Khan said that BJP Government has miserably failed to fulfill its promises during Parliamentary elections and now making fake promises to befool public. He reiterated that Congress Party has played a historic role in steering the country to its present status as an ‘emerging power’. He said public of Rajouri is witness to the development works  executed for their welfare.
Mr Khan asserted that he has given his best throughout his tenure and asked for all the sections of the society for extending full support. He claimed that he remained impartial for all sections of society. He is the only MLA who even during his ministry remained in touch with the public and solved many  issues regarding PHE, PDD, roads and others important sectors, he maintained.
The MLA conducted a series of meetings at Ghalutti, Chatti Mal,  Dheri Lyote,  and other areas of his constituency and said that Congress never sought votes over divide and rule policies, which are being followed by PDP and BJP just to grab power. He said that Congress Government ushered an era of peace, progress and development in the State and liberal funding during the tenure of UPA-II helped a lot in achieving the developmental targets. Khan said that “if public will empower him, he will not leave any stone unturned for the welfare of his people.
