JAMMU, Jan 13: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) in its meeting today held under the chairmanship of Desh Rattan Pandita its president has warned those parties who are spreading misinformation campaign and trying to create a communal divide on Citizenship Amendment Act enacted by Parliament recently.
The meeting which was also attended by Bal Ji Raina, M M Kanth, Baljeet Singh, Raj Kumar, Chaman Lal and others appealed the people not to pay any heed to the misinformation campaign of Congress and other opposition parties on CAA as they are doing it only for their chair.
The meeting said that need of hour is to remain united and challenge those forces who are posing a threat to national unity and integrity. It said the CAA is for the minorities subjected to harassment and humiliation in Islamic countries including Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan and had taken refuge in India. Being a democratic nation India is duty bound to provide refuge and citizenship rights to these hapless people who faced persecution in their countries for decades together, it added.
