JAMMU, Aug 23: Opposition leaders today demanded regularization of Rehbar-i-Ziraat on batch wise basis, otherwise they will lodge protest during the forthcoming Assembly session.
A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Agriculture Technocrats Association (JKATA) led by its president Dr Surinder Radotra met BJP and PDP MLAs and apprised them about the problems being faced by them.
During the meeting, BJP MLA, Jugal Kishore lambasted the ruling Government for implementing merit base regularization policy for technocrats, which is great injustice with them.
Jugal warned that if the Government will not consider the demands of regularization of Rehbar-i-Ziraat on batch wise basis, BJP will lodge a protest in the forthcoming assembly session.
Ashok Khajuria, MLA East said that the Government has turned deaf ear towards the demands of Rehbar-i-Ziraat, compelling the latter to adopt agitational path.
The delegation of JKATA also met PDP MLA, Choudhary Zulfikar Ali, who while speaking said the time period framed for the regularization of Rehbar-i-Ziraat should be reduced. He said that regularization of the Rehbar-i-Ziraat is not only connected with them but also with their families.
Genuine demands of Rehbar-i-Ziraat should be considered and they should be regularized immediately, MLA demanded.
