Opposition misleading people on PRC issue: Sunil Sharma

Excelsior Correspondent
KISHTWAR, Apr 29: State Minister of PWD, Sunil Sharma today justified the Government policy on issuance of PRCs and held the previous Governments responsible for the mess created in this regard that resulted in unnecessary delay in issuance of the certificates to the people especially in rural and far flung areas.
In a statement issued here today Sharma said that the CPI (M), NC and other parties who are opposing the decision of coalition Government in this regard are trying to mislead the people and hoodwink the public opinion by way of hiding the facts.
He, while justifying the Government policy in this regard said that the decision of the coalition is public friendly as it will ease the problems of the people in getting the PRCs in time and they will also be saved from wasting the precious time and money in visiting the government offices for seeking certificates.
He said under the new policy of Government the procedure has not been changed but earlier the people had to visit before the government machinery to seek the PRCs and this way they have to waste months together while under the new policy the Government machinery will come to people for issuing the certificates.
This is a public friendly decision as there is no scope for corruption and malpractices and the people will be thereby relieved of many hardships.
Mr Sharma sought cooperation of people in this regard and cautioned them of the propaganda being made by the vested interests in this regard.
