SAMBA, Dec 4: Reiterating the commitment of Omar led Coalition Government for equitable development of all the three regions of the State, former Minister and MLA Vijaypur, Surjit Singh Slathia, cautioned the people against the opposition’s politics of deceit and lie.
Addressing a public meeting at Chak Bhuian Panchayat, Chak Balotra here in Vijaypur constituency to take stock of people’s grievances and demands besides assessing the status of development works being done in the area, Slathia said as the opposition does not have agenda to present before the people, they are resorting to deceit and lie and are dividing the people.
The former Minister said the State has witnessed tremendous development during the last five years and several other projects are in the pipeline of the Government. He asked the people to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, for further development of the State.
The MLA listened to the issues raised by the people of the area and asked the concerned authorities to look into all those matters for an early redressal of the same.
He expressed gratitude to the people for their cooperation to the Government, which he said has helped greatly in steering the State towards the new heights of peace, progress and prosperity.
