Opposition trying to mislead farming community: Sukhnandan

JAMMU, Sept 27: A function was organized by Sarpanches and Panches of RS Pura block.
The programme was presided over by the Former Minister and Ex MLA Marh Sukhnandan Kumar, who is also a Chairman of the Panchayati Raj Cell BJP J&K UT.
Sarpanches and Panches urged the Chairman that there should be funds upto Rs 10 lakh at panchayat level with which emergent nature of work can be executed as and when needed and there should be no tender work upto Rs 10 lakh.
On the occasion, Former Minister said that he has already taken of this matter and the matter of MGNREGA payments with the higher authorities and will again apprise them very soon.
He also urged the Government to release the shares of the compensation to the refugees of 1947, 1965 and 1971 who are cultivating the custodian land since long along the fencing on border belt. He said that the amount of this compensation has already being released by the Central Government and is lying pending with the UT administration.
He also asserted that desilting of canals and nallahs should be done timely so that the farming community can get the irrigation facility up to tale end in this border belt.
When asked about the recent farmers’ bill passed in the parliament, he said that opposition is trying to mislead the farming community as there is nothing adverse against farmers in this bill. He also told that in coming days he will elaborate the advantages of this bill.
District President BJP Harbajan Singh Pammi, Chairman BDC Miran Sahib block Daleep Kumar, Ex MLA RS Pura Gharu Ram and many political activists of the area attended the function.
