JAMMU, Oct 20: An oral health checkup camp was organized today at Omakar Singh Charitable Trust, Bishnah by Institute of Dental Sciences (IDS), Sehora (Jammu) in collaboration with NGO–Seva Foundation.
The camp was aimed at creating awareness among the masses on the importance of oral hygiene and the problems that people may face if oral health is not maintained. Various doctors were present during the camp in which the Interns of the hospital also prepared a presentation on the “Oral Health Education” which was demonstrated. It was followed by oral health check-up of patients.
In addition, patients were taught the basics of oral hygiene, about proper brushing techniques and the importance of various mouthwashes. Also, awareness about ill effects of tobacco chewing and smoking was spread.
The camp was organized under the supervision of Dr Esha Bali, HoD, Department of PHD, IDS Sehora. He was accompanied by Dr Kamaljeet, Dr Gurdeep, Vikas Pandita (founder Sewa Foundation) and the intern Tusharika Sharma.
