JAMMU, Oct 2: The leaders of Scio-Religious and Retired Forums of SC, ST, OBC and Religious minorities, today criticized Central, Uttar Pradesh and JK Government for sharp and uncontrolled rise in atrocities against SC, ST, OBCs and religious minorities in whole of the country.
Talking to reporters they said the atrocities started during the very first tenure of BJP led by Narendra Modi when Dalits were attacked in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and many other States. Now the atrocities have engulfed UP which is ruled by BJP under Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath who is staunch anti SC, ST, OBCs and minorities as per his previous record. The gruesome rape and murder of a Dalit girl from Hathras (UP) by upper caste Thakur goons has shown real face of BJP. The girl was raped, her tongue was cut and the backbone was severely broken on September 14 and she lost her life on September 29. The leaders condemned the gruesome rape and murder of the girl and demanded immediate sacking of Yogi Adityanath as CM as he has miserably failed to safeguard the lives of common man and law and order situation in UP has become worse.
Sham Lal Basson, a leader of these organisations said that Yogi Adityanath has constituted SIT and we all know what is the fate of inquires at the movement in India. The DM of Hathras should be immediately suspended who was seen threatening the relatives of the poor girl not to flare up the matter. Overall role of CM of UP should also be brought under scanner. Modi’s slogans of, “Mere Dalit Bhaioun koo nahi Mujye Goli Maar Dou” was not well taken by his followers that he uttered after Gujarat atrocities on Dalits in 2017. Modi’s another slogan, “Sab ka Sath Sab ka Vikas-Sab ka Vishwas” is also licking dust. It is a big question that who is instigating upper caste goons to target SC,ST,OBC & religious minorities.
Mohinder Bhagat, another leader said that even after more than 70 years of independence the atrocities on SCs and STs have not vanished. The sick and caste based mind set is growing in J&K also after abrogation of Article 370 as the atrocities against these communities is fast increasing in the UT as well. If LG’s Government failed to control this all “We will come on roads,. We will teach BJP and RSS a lesson on political and social fronts, if their goons do not mend their ways”.
