On the Minister’s instruction, which was based on certain specific inputs, Director inspected centre bearing Code No.2306 at Boys Higher Secondary School, R S Pura where Chemistry paper was being taken by the students.
Mr Singh observed a planned pattern of unfair practices in the centre and five students were apprehended. They were attempting question paper of series different from ones allotted to them. Likewise, Roll No.2306760 (Sumit Kumar) was allotted some other series but was attempting Series-C only. Roll No.2306769 (Amit Kumar) was allotted Series-C but he was attempting Series-A and Roll No.2306757 (Rahul Chaudhary) was allotted Series-C but was found doing Series-A.
It came to the notice of Director School Education that a particular series of question paper was leaked to a day prior to the exam after charging some amount from the students and connivance of JKBOSE and exam duty staff in this entire illegal practice also surfaced.
He also came to know from some officials that those students who allegedly pay bribe are assured by the conspirators in JKBOSE that their answer sheets will be evaluated irrespective of the series they were allotted.
After going through the report submitted by the Director, Education Minister directed JKBOSE to treat these cases under unfair means and not to evaluate any answer sheet which is different from the series allotted to the students.
