Outreach programme VBSY continues to transform J&K Districts

JAMMU, Jan 24: The Union Government’s outreach programme Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) has been making developmental strides across Jammu and Kashmir by reaching out to the prospective beneficiaries with the benefits of various Government schemes.
As part of the transformative campaign, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) for Forest, Ecology, and Environment, Dheeraj Gupta, conducted a mega public darbar at Sopore.
The event saw the participation of key officials, including Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, Chief Conservator Forests, Irfan Rasool, Senior Superintendent of Police, Shabir Ahmad Nawab, and others.
Gupta inspected stalls set up by various departments, aiming to create awareness about Government welfare and development schemes under the Viksit Bharat Yatra initiative. He asked people to come out and utilise the benefits of various Government schemes.
Simultaneously, Commissioner Secretary for Tourism, Yasha Mudgal, led the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ at Municipal Park, Bari Brahmana, Samba.
The event involved the inspection of stalls by various departments, interaction with officers, and dissemination of information about government schemes.
The IEC Van played a crucial role in spreading awareness, and Commissioner Secretary Yasha Mudgal administered the Sankalp pledge to participants. Success stories under schemes like PM KISAN, KCC, PMAY, PMJAY were shared during the event.
Sarmad Hafeez, Secretary of the Youth Services and Sports Department, chaired a public grievances redressal camp and participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra event in Shopian.
Various delegations, including District Development Council members, fruit growers, traders, and locals, highlighted development issues and demands in their respective areas. Concerns ranged from sports infrastructure and urban development to water and power supply, tourism promotion, and agriculture-related strategies.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra continued its journey in Ganderbal district as well, with an event organized at Qamaria Stadium Ganderbal.
Inspector General of Registration, J&K, Sheikh Arshad Ayub, presided over the program, emphasizing the importance of various welfare schemes. Resource persons highlighted the success stories of beneficiaries under schemes like PMJAY, PMAY, UMEED, KCC, and others.
In Rajouri, the IEC van of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra played a vital role in engaging with local communities, showcasing success stories, and creating awareness about government initiatives.
The van traversed through various panchayats, underscoring the Yatra’s commitment to reaching every corner of the district and ensuring the benefits of Government initiatives are felt at the grassroots level.
The transformative journey of the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, led by Deputy Commissioner Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary in Ramban, marked its final leg.
The 56-day odyssey aimed to invigorate the implementation of beneficiary-oriented schemes in the district. With impressive participation, including 37,600 women, the Yatra reached Ward number 5 Hollin in Banihal town, emphasizing inclusivity and community engagement. Beneficiaries shared stories of positive transformation, showcasing the impact of various Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
Throughout the Yatra, departments actively promoted and extended the benefits of their respective schemes under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner. Cultural programs celebrated Ramban District’s rich heritage, adding a vibrant touch to the Yatra’s journey.
