Over 100 lawyers join Congress

JAMMU, July 14: Impressed by the policies of Congress party at the Centre and in State, more than 100 young advocates joined the party in the presence of Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) president, Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz here today.
A joining-cum-felicitation function was organized by the PCC at Conference Hall of J&K Tourism Development Corporation here today, which was chaired by PCC president, Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz while a large number of senior functionaries of the Congress party were present.
While welcoming the new entrants into the party-fold, Prof Soz said that the advocates are the opinion makers, so their joining would further strengthen the Congress party at the grass-root level.
“The joining of these young and energetic men endorse policies and programmes of the Congress party, which always further the cause of people at every level,” he maintained and added, “Congress always remains in the forefront to mitigate the problems of common people and this is the reason that it has strong footage at the basic level.”
Speaking on behalf of all those, who joined the Congress party, Arvind Bandral said that they are really impressed by the programmes and development achieved by the Congress party in J&K.
About his joining to the Congress party, Mr. Bandral said, “The steps taken by the Government both at the Centre and State level attracted the Advocates, who are also members of Bar Association of Jammu, to join the Congress party and we are all highly obliged.”
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Ravinder Sharma, MLC & Spokesperson, Rani Billowria, MLC Vikram Malhotra, former National general secretary, All India Youth Congress, Kuldeep Pangotra, Chairman, Legal Cell, PCC, Ch. Shah Mohd, Sachin Kumar, Ashwani Kumar, Rakesh Abrol, Varun Sharma, Sourav Vaid and others.
