RAJOURI, Mar 25: District Administration Rajouri, in collaboration with the District Employment and Counselling Centre, hosted a Mega Job Fair as part of its youth club activation programme. The fair aimed to provide a platform for young people to secure their livelihoods and was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal.
The event was a great success, with over 1000 unemployed youth participating and 27 private agencies present. 440 candidates submitted their resumes and 246 were registered. Of those, 114 were shortlisted for jobs and 5 were issued appointment letters on the spot.
Vikas Kundal emphasised the importance of such initiatives in providing opportunities for young people to enhance their skills and secure employment. He urged them to take advantage of government schemes and initiatives to support entrepreneurship and self-employment.
The job fair was organised in collaboration with various private organisations and included opportunities in fields such as IT, healthcare, hospitality and finance. It successfully brought together job seekers and employers, providing a platform for young people to showcase their skills and talents.
The Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the job applicants at the fair. He listened to their concerns and provided valuable insights and advice on how to approach their job search. His active engagement with the applicants demonstrated his commitment to supporting young people in securing employment and building a prosperous future.
