‘Time ripe to act as cohesive unit against separatists’

JAMMU, Sept 4: Turning tables on separatist and secessionist forces in Kashmir, Member Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Prof Rakesh Sinha today said that people with sinister designs rather barbaric have to pay for their brutalities and stressing on working as a cohesive unit against militancy and other allied forces in Kashmir.
Addressing a function at Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra (SSK) Anand Nagar Bohri here, today in connection with its Foundation Day and celebration of Sharda Astami which is also known as Ganga Ashtami, he said entire nation of over 130 billion people share the pain and agony of displaced Kashmir Pandits who are leading an exiled life for over 32 years now. He said this pain will only end with the rehabilitation of displaced Pandits in their homeland Kashmir.
He regretted that some handful people and parties launch a misinformation campaign about Kashmiri Pandits and nationalist people in Valley which has to be defeated with full might. Time is ripe to work as a cohesive unit against secessionist and separatist forces, he added.
Rakesh Sinha who was the chief guest during the function said entire nation is concerned about the rehabilitation of displaced KPs and are fully with the community which should not feel alone in their struggle. He regretted that those who believe in Kashmiriyat on one hand and at the same time don’t believe in the philosophy and teachings of the famous scholars of Shastras like Abhinav Gupt, Kalhan Pandit and likes in the Valley shall have to bite the dust.
Terming J&K as the cultural and social capital of India, Prof Sinha, highlighted the contribution of Kashmiri Pandits to Indian culture and ethos and said that Kashmir had produced world famous scholars of Shastras.
Padmashri Dr KN Pandita and Dr Vikrant Ji were the special guests. Dr MK Bharat, president SSK was also present on the occasion.
Prof Sinha said that they were duty bound to re-establish the ancient Vedic culture and civilization in Kashmir which was the basis of pluralism.
Showing solidarity and expressing concern over the plight of Kashmiri Hindus in exile who have been hounded out from Valley, Prof Sinha lavished praise on the founders of Sanjeevani Sharda Kendra for taking initiatives with regard to preserving culture and ethos despite sufferings and sorrows.
The Rajya Sabha Member also appreciated Kendra for releasing a digital magazine on Shardalipi which he termed was the need of the hour.
Dr Sinha said that he will leave no stone unturned in batting for promotion of Shardalipi at all forums including Union Ministry for Culture.
While speaking on the occasion, Padmshri Dr KN Pandita threw light on the history of Kashmir and its culture.
While lambasting the previous Governments for not taking any concrete steps to mitigate the problems of KPs in exile, he said that KPs are continuing to receive squint-eyed treatment from Central and State/UT Governments.
Sanjay Pandita, Incharge Shardalipi Section of SSK while speaking on the occasion highlighted the role of SSK in promoting Shardalipi in the Union Territory.
He termed the day historic as the day witnessed release of digital magazine on Shardalipi- ‘Shardavaani’.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Vikrant threw light on the significance of the Kendra in preserving ‘Sanskritik’, cultural and social values of the society, besides guiding youth not to derail from the mainstream.
Earlier, Dr MK Bharat while welcoming the chief guest and other dignitaries highlighted the programmes and achievements of Sanjeevani Shardha Kendra.
Late Prakash Ram Bhat (Kurgami) a great Bhakti saint of medieval Kashmir was conferred with prestigious ‘Sharda Saman’ which was received by Veena and Anil Pandita.
