JAMMU, Dec 9: Financial Commissioner, Health & Medical Education Atal Dulloo reviewed the implementation of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) with all the Chief Medical Officers and Medical Superintendents, through video conference.
Financial Commissioner directed all Chief Medical Officers to register all the family members of the identified beneficiary families immediately. Besides all CMOs and MSs, the meeting was also attended by Bhupinder Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, State Health Agency, AB-PMJAY, J&K, Principal GMC, Jammu/ Srinagar, Director Health Services Kashmir and Director Health Services Jammu.
Dulloo directed all CMOs to ensure that no entitled inpatient is missed out in any empanelled hospital across the Union Territory. Mr. Kumar apprised the ‘chair’ that State Health agency has registered 12.69 Lakh entitled beneficiaries and has covered about 60% of beneficiary families. He also informed that so far more than 49,000 cases have been performed in the 156 empanelled hospitals across J&K with a total pre-authorised amount of Rs.26.77 crores. Kumar further appraised that more than 19000 cases have been done post August 2019 across the empanelled health facilities of the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh.
Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana was launched on December 1st, 2018 in J&K. The scheme guarantees provision of health insurance cover to the extent of Rs. 500,000 on a family floater and cashless basis through an established network of 156 health care providers to the 613648 AB-PMJAY Beneficiary Family Units across the Union Territories of J & K and Ladakh.
