Over 50 delegates from J&K participate in VBKP Sammelan

JAMMU, Dec 31: Over 50 delegates from Jammu and Kashmir participated in the two-day National Convention (Sammelan) of Vaidic Brahman Kalyan Parishad (VBKP), held at the Holy township of Haridwar on Dec 28-29.
About 450 delegates from over 13 states and several Union Territories of the country attended this 7th National level convention of the VBKP and resolved to support a national level party which takes care of the aspirations of the Sanatan Dharma, Vedic culture and Sanskrit language in the country. On this occasion many members were honoured for their contributions for the community welfare and excellent performance in various fields.
National president of the organisation, Subhash Kaushik while addressing the Vaidic convention referred to the several issues related to increasing ills in the society, promotion of Vaidic culture, Vaidic education, Sanskrit language, Sanatan Dharma, inculcating moral values among children and youth, drugs menace etc besides other burning issues of the society and the country. He stressed for the unity among the community people.
Kaushik, even being chronic kidney patient, and under dialysis, having deep pain and concern for the community, attended this two- day sammelan and led his team from the front. Visibly with full of energy, he became source of inspiration for many during the Sammelan. He asked state heads to expedite social the activities in their respective areas.
Bhajan Sandhya by Virender Shashtri from Ghagwal (Kathua, J&K), Mridul Gangotri and Raj Kumar added some more colour to this two day event through their heart- touching performances. The participants from various states/UTs enjoyed the devotional/Bhakti songs of these religious personalities.
Prem Sharma, VBKP national treasurer said that over 50 members from JKUT participated in this Sammelan at the bank of River Ganga on the eve of Somawati Amavasya. “This is the 7th National level convention. The first one was held at Gurugram in Harayana, the second at Haridwar in Uttrakhand, third at Katra Mata Vaishnodevi in J&K, fourth at Jaipur in Rajasthan, while fifth one at Varidaban in Utter Pradesh and 6th at Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.
