Over 50 illegally raised shops demolished in Tral

Srinagar, Mar 4: Over 50 illegally raised shops were today demolished in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A demolition drive was launched in Bus Stand area of Tral with an aim to clear the encroachment and illegal constructions in the town.
At least 54 shops have been demolished in the Bus Stand area in the drive that was headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tral Shabir Ahmad Raina, who was accompanied by SDPO Tral Dr. Aijaz Qureshi, SHO Tral Gulzar Ahmad, Naib Tehsildar Tral, EO Municipal Committee Tral and other officers.
Besides shops, various other illegally raised structures were demolished by the authorities.
The shopkeepers whose shops were demolished have demanded the rehabilitation. Raina said that he will try to take steps to rehabilitate these shopkeepers soon.
