NEW DELHI, Dec 12: Centre today said that 5,675 Kashmiri migrants have been provided Government employment during the last five years.
In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said as per the data, 46,631 Kashmiri families migrated from the Valley due to security reasons.
Rai said, several Kashmiri migrant families have shifted to other parts of the country.
Rai said the Government has taken several measures to rehabilitate the Kashmiri migrants back into the Valley. The Minister said the Government of Jammu and Kashmir launched an online portal in August 2021 wherein Kashmiri migrants can lodge online grievances concerning encroachment, change of title, mutation and distress sale.
