Over half dozen people hurt in road accidents

JAMMU, June 20: Over half dozen people were injured in different road accidents in the winter capital.
Police spokesman said that, two persons were injured when an Alto car collided with truck and later on with minibus at Nagrota area.
He said that the Alto car bearing registration No JKO2AS 7435, heading towards Jammu from Nagrota, collided with truck (JKO2E 3365), and later on with minibus (JKO2G 0984), injuring two persons namely, Varun, son of Sham Lal, resident of Jagti and Surinder, son of Girdhari Lal of Nagrota.
Meanwhile, Sanjeev Kumar, son of Som Dutt of Akalpur was injured when the motorcycle he was riding slipped near Udheywala area, while, Khalil, son of Nazir Ahmed of Basholi, was injured after he fall down from the roof top.
Sachin Kumar, son of Late Balwant Raj, resident of Ramkote was injured in a truck-bus collision, whereas, Sunil Kumar, son of Baldev Raj of Barnoti, Kathua and Ashu Kumar, son of Babu Ram of Kathua, were injured in a collision of motorcycles at Palli Morh.
All the injured persons were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where their condition was stated to be stable, when last reports poured in.
A person was injured when a minibus heading towards district Samba, hit him near Gurah Morh.
Identified as Verinder Kumar, a truck driver, was injured when a minibus bearing registration No JKO2AM 9815, heading towards district Samba, from Bari Brahmana, hit him near Gurah Morh.
He was shifted to district hospital, Samba, where his condition was stated to be stable when last reports came in.
