MENDHAR, Mar 23: Over loaded Tata Sumo vehicle was seized and its driver arrested by Police in Mendhar area of district Poonch today.
With the initiative to keep check on the accidents, SDPO Mendhar Surinder Choudhary during field visit in Balakote area found a Tata Sumo No. JK-12/6765 carrying 17 passengers. Some of them were sitting on the roof top of the vehicle and others hanging at the back. It was on way to Basuni village in Balakote from Mendhar. The police seized the vehicle and arrested its driver -Nassir Ahmed, resident of Basuni. A case FIR No. 24/2015 was registered against him.
