JAMMU, Oct 23: Former Minister & MLA Marh, Sukhnandan Choudhary today said that the holistic development of Marh Assembly Constituency is his mission and he pledged to take it forward with great zeal.
“As a representative of Marh constituency, I will continue to knock every door to have best for the people of this Constituency”, Sukhnandan said while inaugurating macadamization of about nine km of road from Bodh Dherank to Rathua & Bodh Dherank to Kukeryan via Bhahtpur, this morning.
Highlighting the importance of blacktopping of this road, he told that lakhs of devotees visit Baba Bhoto Dev Assthan at Rathua from different parts of the country on the eve of Guru Purnima falling in this month every year.
He said that apart from benefitting local people, better road network would also increase tourist footfall at the holy places and promote the rural economy. He also asserted that State’s PDP-BJP Government is committed for the overall development of the State and the special focus of the Government is on rural areas.
Referring to other road works being executed under various schemes former Minister said that instructions have been passed to speed up work on all road projects which were already sanctioned by the Government.
Officials of PWD (R&B) Department including Executive Engineer, PWD Div.lll, Rajesh Bhagat, AEE Vinod Sharma ,JE Arvind Gupta were also present. Besides, Vikas Choudhary State general secretary. BJYM, Pawan Choudhary Executive Member Kissan Morcha, panches, sarpanches and a large number of people of the area were also present on the occasion.
